Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Nilkanth, an aspect of Shiva. The temple is about 120 km from Pauri town, the district headquarters, 32 km from Rishikesh in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, India. Vashistha Cave is an ancient cave renowned for it is believed that Sage Vashistha and his wife meditated here for many years. According to Hindu mythology, Sage Vashista was the human son of Lord Brahma and one of the great seven sages.
The Patna waterfall empties into a natural pool below, falling from a height of around 40 feet. The pool is the perfect place for a cool swim or a picnic with friends and family because it is surrounded by greenery and rough cliffs. Encountering the core of Rajaji National Park, the hike is a lovely 1.5km walk.
